Two more things to do in Vancouver, is to go to Granville Island and Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.
It’s very easy to take a bus to Granville Island, which is surrounded by smaller wharfs/terminals for boats, as well as the ferry taxis that stop there (so taking a ferry is another option). Shops, boutique shops and a fantastic market is what Granville Island has to offer. Make sure you have enough time to spend at the market – all fresh produce, fresh baked everythings, cheeses, and take-aways of every kind! This market is sure to satisfy everyone/every need/every desire. There is also a walkway that takes you all the way around the edge of Granville Island – beautiful and relaxing!
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is truly a beautiful destination in Vancouver! A free shuttle service from Canada Place (where your ship docks) is provided, and is takes about 30mins to get there. In addition to the Suspension Bridge, you will also find Treetops Adventure and the Cliffwalk. Designed and built to give you the best views, this is a very unique way of experiencing the forests that are usually only seen from the forest floor.
The Capilano Suspension Bridge remains the main attraction. The bridge is 70m above Capilano River, 137m long, and can hold more than 90 000kg (that’s 96 elephants)!!
You can spend a reasonable 2-3hours at Capilano Bridge. There are some souvenir shops, as well as a few places to get some refreshments.
