Suva is the capital of Fiji. This, of course, means that there are a great variety of things to do in Suva. We did only one thing, but it was utterly and totally fantastic!! We went to the Suva waterfalls.
There are a series of 7 or 8 waterfalls and you can start at the top and walk down all the way with well-kept trails. Unfortunately we were a little pressed for time, so we went to the top one, and then drove down to the last one where all the fun is happening ;)! At the last waterfall, there is a rope tied to a tree and everyone takes turns to swing and jump into the natural pool. Quite a daunting experience for a first-timer, but after that you just want to go again and again!
You will find locals and tourists alike at the pool, and everyone is in high spirits and there is excitement in the air! On the drive to the waterfalls you will also get a good idea of what Suva looks like, before reaching the forest. The tropical weather in Fiji allows for the classic lush forests and unlimited greenery around you.
All in all, just a fun day out 🙂
